Moonvale+The RegularMoonvale+

Seven-fifteen every morning: oat flat white, extra shot, and four seconds of staring at the almond croissant you pretend not to want. The barista knows all of it. He'd tell you he just notices things. Then a man in a linen shirt sits down at your table and writes his number on a napkin, and the barista discovers he is capable of making a deliberately disappointing cortado. Decide what you do with the napkin, then come back at closing time to taste the drink he's been secretly perfecting for two months. How sweet you take it decides how the story ends. A slow-burn coffee shop love story with a jealous, flustered, hopelessly observant barista. Three endings.
