Flirty romance, in audio

Flirting is a conversation, which makes it a natural fit for stories where you answer back. A barista who has been working on a drink with your name on it; a stranger who cannot stop smiling at you.

Answer him the way you would, and see where it goes. Some endings are sweeter than others.

Every story’s opening is free to hear, up to his first question.

Room 412

Your key card is dead. The stranger next door has a tiny kettle, an unwritten best man speech, and no idea how to stop smiling at you.

6–7 min · 3 decisions · 3 endings · headphones on

It's late, it's been raining for three days, and your hotel key card has just failed for the third time. The man trying his own door next to yours is in four-twelve. You're in four-twenty-one. The front desk is under siege from a bachelor party with a goat. So he offers to buy you one drink, strictly as a neighbor. He's charming, a little hopeless, and has a best man speech to write by morning. Decide whether to brave the front desk or the hotel bar, how much you flirt back, and, when the night is over, which door you knock on. If you remember his room number. A teasing, flustered strangers-to-something story about one rainy night in a mid-range hotel. Three endings.

The Regular

He knows your order. He knows your table. He's been working on a drink with your name on it for two months.

6–7 min · 2 decisions · 3 endings · headphones on

Seven-fifteen every morning: oat flat white, extra shot, and four seconds of staring at the almond croissant you pretend not to want. The barista knows all of it. He'd tell you he just notices things. Then a man in a linen shirt sits down at your table and writes his number on a napkin, and the barista discovers he is capable of making a deliberately disappointing cortado. Decide what you do with the napkin, then come back at closing time to taste the drink he's been secretly perfecting for two months. How sweet you take it decides how the story ends. A slow-burn coffee shop romance with a jealous, flustered, hopelessly observant barista. Three endings.
